Google Doodle celebrates 140 years of Test cricket

Google on Wednesday committed a Doodle to celebrate the 140th anniversary of official Test cricket, recalling the first Test match played at 1877 between Australia and England.

The hosts batted first and the first ball was bowled by Alfred Shaw to Charles Bannerman, who proceeded if he retired hurt with a right hand index finger accident to become the first centurion in Test by scoring 165.

England, yet, squared the show by winning the next game by four wickets at exactly the exact same venue.
